Over the past 11 years, I have walked the Camino de Santiago every year, taking groups of pilgrims.

I have an extensive blog on the Camino. I also have a Facebook Page called Pilgrims Helping Pilgrims.

The FB page has over 650 members and it continues to grow.

It's basically a FREE guidebook to walking the Camino.

I understand you can make money doing these blogs.

Is there a way I can make a bit of cash on these???

Where and how do I start?

My natural inclination is to make a smart-Aleck remark,  but I too would like to know,  so I won't.

I dunno---I've heard all sorts of stories that people can make gazillions of bucks on YouTube videos, but I've never actually met anyone who DOES. (I have run into a couple people who make some dough through "product placement" on blogs and YouTube, but it's not enough for them to live on.)

The fact that virtually nobody is doing it, makes me suspect it's not really do-able......

My blog has been active and updated regularly since 2010 and gets about 600 unique visitors a day. Facebook with almost 1300 followers (which is mighty low in the whole scheme of things). Instagram with 1600 followers (also very low).

The blog makes anywhere from $0.20 to $0.50 per day in Amazon CPM ads (they ads that pay per views)
It makes another $10-15 per month in Amazon affiliate link referrals.

Can you make money? The short answer is Yes, but don't expect to earn any more then chicken-scratch. Is it still worth putting your knowledge out there? Sure!!! But don't expect pay-back.

Now, if you are a hot 20-something woman that lives life topless and takes regular pictures of it all, then you can make a fortune... but that has always been the case with the Internet-porn. Without MILLIONS of views per day, the money to be made is minimal.

This is my understanding. You use Facebook to advertise your YouTube videos and Pinterest to advertise your blogs. You do need a blog domain that will freely allow you to both advertise and do affiliate placement. My advice study Pinterest ads and try to create blog advertisements that draw people to your site or at least to your ad. If you get placed on a good wall you could get thousands of hits a day. Btw there are ton of you tube videos on this subject.

Youtube videos or ads on your blog, esp credit card ads.

Find a niche item to sell on E-bay or Amazon you'll most likely make more money doing that.
