Low gauge cable for small inverter?

Yes. they are used for AC, Alternating Current. Very common. But i would discourage use in DC, mobile applications. Hey., but it is YOUR van not someone else.

The surge power on my 600 Watt inverter is 1200 Watts. Guess I'll go with a 2 or 4 gauge wire. I guess the breaker fuse will be 120?
