Finally joined the forum after several years of lurking.  Lived on a 37ft Lancer Sloop for 7 years while in the military and now that I have retired doing the full time RV thing as I cant see wasting money on an apartment lease every month.  Im a big time hunter, have a cabin on my lease and have used a lot of the ideas here.  Looking forward to hanging out here a little more often and getting a little more creative.

Hi , and welcome..
It just seems wrong to say " hi lunatic", especially to ex military! Anyway, glad you joined us out here and even better that you are using some of the ideas. Hopefully , you will share some stories and post mor often.

Good Morning, and WELCOME! It's great to have you join us, that's a long time to be lurking. Where were you stationed when you were living on your boat? My dad lived on a sail boat for years also, I used to LOVE going down to the marina and sitting with him on the weekends and watching all the tourist go by, and visiting with the other boat dwellers.

Sateside I was in Coronado Ca, and NAS Whidbey Island Wa. &nbsp;Living n a bat is queit the life. &nbsp;I dont think there has ever been a more stress free or enjoyable moment in my life. &nbsp;I always wanted t do that and once I spent a couple of hours on a buddys Catalina 26, it was less than a month before I had a 37ft Sloop Rigged Lancer tied dockside with my name on the title. &nbsp;Cant wait to move it from California to Texas!!!<div><br></div><div>All over Asia and the middle east is where my ships primarily sailed. &nbsp;I was stationed on the USS Midway(CV42) and USS John C. Stennis (CVN74). &nbsp;Spent most of my time stationed over seas doing lots of "stuff"! &nbsp; Not sure how that happened as I joined the Navy so I could be in the rear with the gear, some how that didnt always happen. &nbsp;Spent 21 years working with weapons and explosives and have forgotten more than most ever learn.</div><div><br></div><div>At the moment I am high and dry in North Texas.</div>

Welcome Loony! I couldn't bring myself to call you Lunatic, it sounded too much like an insult and Loony is at least funnier sounding.<div><br></div>
