Long time listener, first time caller...

Hey there everybody, well I finally did it, I joined the forum. After lurking endlessly for information it was time. I do not live in a van yet. Quite the opposite, I have a great job and a home. I am just tired of working to have a space full of stuff I don't need. Time to get down to the bear necessities! I own an old diesel ambulance I have converted into a camper of sorts. Just getting prepared...

Thanks, no I do not plan to hold a full time career anymore. I run waste veggie oil in my truck in one of the 50 gallon tanks and diesel in the other. I mend diesel engines for a hobby, which is why I chose the truck I did. I am adopting the "bear necessities" ethos for the rest of my days, it just makes sense. I will get some pics up after I resize them after work. Thanks for the warm welcome.

I often look at the names people choose as handles and am just totally puzzled by them. But when I figured yours out, I was delighted by it!

Thanks, Baloo is everything I am not, yet everything I want to be. He is a minimalist, and enjoys the world around him. I work my butt off, pay bills, and only see the same 9 miles I drive everyday to work for the past 14 years. While it is proving to be rather difficult to change to a minimalist life style, I am trying and making progress. I guess planing my future around a fictional character is crazy, but from what I have read so far, there are plenty of happy people living on the road...
