I love this idea! Everyone has one or two books that they've read and are ready to pass on to someone else. Little Free Libraries are mostly hosted by families but sometimes by businesses. A small box, that is usually located at the edge of the owner's property, is filled with books. You take one (or two or three) and leave one.
Check it out - http://littlefreelibrary.org/ It might not be worth going out of your way to find one but if you're around a city look at the map - there may be one really close.
We stopped at our first one a few days ago. It was on the porch of a dentist's office. Exchanged a best seller novel for another best seller.
