I love this idea! Everyone has one or two books that they've read and are ready to pass on to someone else. Little Free Libraries are mostly hosted by families but sometimes by businesses. A small box, that is usually located at the edge of the owner's property, is filled with books. You take one (or two or three) and leave one.

Check it out - http://littlefreelibrary.org/ It might not be worth going out of your way to find one but if you're around a city look at the map - there may be one really close.

We stopped at our first one a few days ago. It was on the porch of a dentist's office. Exchanged a best seller novel for another best seller. :)

Another friend, the owner of Markeroni, who also happens to be a member here told me about BookCrossing.

"What is BookCrossing?
... It's a celebration of literature and a place where books get new life. BookCrossing is the act of giving a book a unique identity so, as the book is passed from reader to reader, it can be tracked and thus connecting its readers. There are currently 1,331,711 BookCrossers and 10,613,422 books travelling throughout 132 countries. Our community is changing the world and touching lives one book at a time..."
