<br /><div>I don't know if this has been posted before, but I thought I would share the job I'm currently doing, as it could be a possibility for those who live on the road or travel a lot.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>I work from home for Lionbridge as an Internet Assessor. It's basically exactly what the title says: assessing/analyzing web pages. It's only part-time, but it pays pretty well in my opinion. And it is possible to get promotions so you would earn more.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>I've been doing it for about a year and a half and have had a great experience. It's very flexible (you can work whenever you want as long as you get your hours in) and they just deposit my pay directly into my bank account. You just can't leave the country you are employed in and go to another country and work from there. If you are employed in the U.S., you have to do all your work from the U.S.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>You do need to be somewhat internet/computer savvy and able to think and work quickly.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>I'm also not sure, but you may need a private internet connection. I don't know that you could go to a public library and use their free connection to work.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>I just wanted to throw that out there for anyone who is looking for a remote working opportunity.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Here is the site: http://en-us.lionbridge.com/global-crowdsourcing/jobs/default.htm</div>

Thank you, I'll look at that one <img src="/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" align="absmiddle"><br /><br />

Sorry for the temporary removal and lock of this thread. The company checks out as legitimate as far as I can tell. There are several threads by people who tried out for the job. Some made it, some didn't. For some odd reason this company requires you to sign an NDA for a $14.50 per hour position, which is why I cannot find any more information about the position itself. There seems to be some heavy vetting during the hiring process and will have to take lots of tests before finding out if you get the job.<br /><br /><br />

Yes, they do stress it's important to keep mum on the specifics of the work, so that's why I don't go into a lot of detail. I did fill out a job application and take one test before I was hired. It's a great job for me because I can work from home &amp; it's very flexible. But it is a lot of sitting &amp; staring at the computer, so it isn't for everyone. There is another company that does the same sort of thing &amp; I think it's called Leapforce.

Im curious how much you get paid?&nbsp; I read "Crowdsource" as "Slave Labor" after having experienced it at mturk, where they pay you like .02 cents for these kind of search analysis jobs.&nbsp;

<br /><br />I found that answer on a couple of forums about the position, but this one has the longest running history on it. The hoops they make you jump through for the job are fairly well documented in the link below.<br /><br />

Yes, you get paid the month after you finish the work. And you get&nbsp;paid for the entire month - so just one payday per month. That's helped me work on my budgeting skills! <img src="/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" align="absmiddle">

Yeah i went to that link and started reading, but lost connection before i could edit my post. I didnt notice you had put the hourly wage. Maybe I'll give this a shot to earn some extra money towards my goals.

Good deal! I wanted to be sure in case you missed it.<br /><br />

Here is a good work from "home" opportunity. Liveops.com<br /><br />Basically you are a customer service rep for their clients such as, the magic bullet, colonial penn life, anything you see an infomercial and a 800# for. It requires someone who is quick and does well reading a script and following directions to the letter. Also, dealing with sometimes less then polite people with a "water off a ducks back" attitude. It also requires a criminal back round check and a credit check.<br /><br />I worked there 4 or so years ago and really liked it. Then moved to Texas and got the job that I had most recently, so quit doing it. I can't go back at present cuz my debt is too high due to medical expenses.. but anyone in the right situation to do this, I highly recommend this job. It's a contract job so you have to pay taxes at the end of the year. <br /><br />

Lionbridge really wants to get its money's worth from their employees. A typical day is vegetable pickers day. Good place to work from home and get a little extra cash. We are looking for an experienced interaction designer to support our Lionbridge customer. As an interaction designer, this person has a strong design . thanks

Wtf is this?

I'm sorry to **** on your parade but a bunch of zero day brand new accounts think an online job is awesome? Really?

Look at the reviews of this place. You should be able to pick out the real ones. This is not a good job.

I had applied a few years back. I think either I was turned down or I turned them down. Can't remember. Further investigation revealed it was a great deal of work for little pay. We will hopefully stick to being self-employed after I am no longer with Home Depot. We will make jewelry and sell on etsy plus possibly some of the lower priced stuff at a few fleamarkets as we travel. And there is the key, traveling. I'm tired of being tired to one spot. I'm tired of working for others. We've not got enough jewelry stocked up yet, so the etsy store is just sitting. After I get a few other things sorted out, we should be set up by September of this year. Gives us a year to build up the business and get merchandise selling. Right now too much of our $$ is still being sunk into the bus for things you can't really see but things that will make our lives easier and traveling better.
