I have found a Kyocera kit on ebay for about $600.  Comes with 2 150w panels, charge controller, brackets, connectors, and wires.  Would this be a good starting setup?

You should post a link when referencing things like that...is this it? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kyocera-Sol...00-Watt-Kit-12v-Battery-RV-Boat-/151306194335

If so, I don't think that's a good deal for a couple reasons. First being the quote: EXACT same charge controller as offered by Harbor Freight for $79.99! I mean, really? That's more like a warning than an advertisement imo.

Second, if you're going to buy a kit, get it from a known manufacturer instead of a ebay guy who bought a pallet of panels (albeit nice ones I think) and tossed in a crap controller and some wires to make a kit. Check out this for $150 more: http://www.ebay.com/itm/400-Watt-So...836002?hash=item3f2dc52b22:g:tsQAAOSwHjNWAHDB

Buy kits from somewhere that you'll have a good warranty and support available...

Thanks for the heads up. Still trying to figure out the site here and what all I need to do.

Panels look good.Looks like about a $15 controller. You can buy the parts separately on ebay and save quite a bit.
