Some free advice from my experience: when I was in a hurry to get on the road, I used bins for almost everything imaginable. I bought the bins at Home Depot.

I still hate the idea of cabinets, so when I did a DIY build in a van, I also incorporated bins for many uses. Took me one month for the build, as I was in a hurry to get on the road that time also.

I have not hired anyone, or requested help getting set up, so I can't give a referral. I have looked at some builders but did not like the generic stuff they were producing. One custom builder crafted one of a kind tiny homes, but they were so expensive and heavy that I would not reccomend.

While not a total buildout, we have a 2018 Transit 3.5L ecoboost that should be similar to your 2015 and I did a little thread on a easy way to put a queen size mattress in the back with storage underneath by using IKEA adjustable rails (which are super cheap, like $10 each).

Toss in a Goal Zero YETI 1000, a 12/120V compressor cooler, a couple of Renogy flexible panels taped to the roof with 3M high bond and hit the road.

Oh, I looked up the old thread and we were discussing your van build in August 2019.  You had purchased a fridge and were trying to decide if you wanted to get something like a YETI or build your own.

So this has been going on for nearly a year?   Did you make any progress?

I agree that the OP is apparently disappointed and has left.

When I see posts (wherever) that seem irrational and/or emotion driven, after my often initial response of inward eye roll and annoyance to some level, I try to remind myself that we have no idea what is going on in that posters life, or the state of their mental health.

Also that you can’t reason someone out of a position they haven’t been reasoned into.

I try not to post when I am annoyed, tho am not always successful I continue to work on it. That’s why we have moderators, to help us think before we hit “send”.

There are a lot of walking wounded out there, and while we don’t want to enable maladaptive behavior, I think it is good to work on pulling forward our compassion.

It’s how we would appreciate being treated.

My opinion.

I sent a PM in September offering HELP (including my phone #) when you were asking then...……….You never responded !

The most helpful of Bob's videos for me when I was starting out with few physical and financial resources was the "no-build van build" episode:

If OP ever comes back, maybe they'll find it useful - I know I did.

FWIW, I just got a lot of information in one thread and nothing in another. I guess it depends on who's available and what they're interested in. The post that got no response was a reply in a thread where my issue was already being discussed. Maybe I should have started a new thread, but I thought adding on to a thread would get my question to the right people faster.
