We in the Deep South are expecting major thunderstorms and rain today, after nearly a month with no rain at all. We'll go from dry & dusty to wet and muddy in moments! THEN the night temps drop to the low thirties.

In Southern ME, we got the cold weather at the end of last week. I used the opportunity as an excuse to buy a new sleeping bag rated to -20degF, replacing my 15degF bag for the winter. On nights in the upper 30s, it is too warm, but with recent overnight temps dropping into the low 20s, glad I got it.
