Hi, I've just registered and I'm looking forward to participating in the forum.

I'm primarily interested in weekend or long weekend boondocking to get into wild areas for my photography passion. You can see my photos at http://www.wildlightphoto.com

I've recently purchased an older 4x4 Dodge Dakota in Forest Service colors with an A.R.E. utility shell which I plan to convert to a micro-camper.

Welcome. You have some nice photos there. Are you a hunter also, or just enjoy taking pics of critters? I especially like that specklebelly (white-front) goose landing!

Hi Doug, glad you joined us. That sounds like a great rig to get into the backcountry and take some great shots. Nature Photography is also my main hobby. Right now I am in Arizona. We had a above average rain this winter so the forecast is for a good wildflower bloom in the desert. So I am going to spend the next month chasing wildflower pics. I'll spend the summer in Northern Arizona and will make trips into Colorado and Utah for Photo shoots.

If you get the chance and are out here, stop by and maybe we can go shoot together.
Bob

Welcome. Your photos are incredible. @Bob, will be thinking of you shooting wildflowers. I would love to be out with you painting them.
Dragonfly

Thanks for the welcome! The A.R.E. cap will need some alteration before I use it for boondocking and I'll start some thread(s) in an appropriate section. It's very secure, something I appreciate when I want to lock my camera inside.

A thread on a photography forum was related to backcountry camping vehicles, is it OK to direct people to this forum?

Mouldy, I'm a photographer only, not a hunter. Nothing against hunting, it's just not in my blood.

Hello and a warm welcome from Iowa! I really enjoyed looking at your photos. They are spectacular.

I like to take pics of cool stuff but the one I'm really hoping to get is a photo of the beloved morel mushroom... They are so beautiful and taste even better!

I look forward to seeing your posts.

Brad a.k.a.
