Interest groups at RTR ????

I am wondering whether there might a central table at RTR with lists where people can sign up for specific interest groups, and can then congregate ala similar interests. Eg,

- hikers
- kayakers
- Texas barbeque
- 4x4ers
- guitar pickers
- "walk-in" movies
- &etc

The last two years there has been a community bulletin board.

Some of these are easy to find just by walking around. Kayakers? Look for rigs with kayaks. BBQers? Follow your nose. 4x4ers? Look for 4x4s. Guitar pickers? Follow your ears. But if one were looking to meet something like transendentalist poets, Negro League baseball statisticians, or Bay of Pigs Invasion re-enactors, then, yeah some sort of sign up could be useful.

That started to happen last year. I’m aware of music, art, and meditation camps and I wasn’t even there!

If you are going to amplify anything, please park well away from others.  I remember hearing a not so great guitarist/singer with a amplifier around a campfire a 100 yards or more away.

Open mike would be nice, but **please** Liv, leave your Karaoke Machine at home. One of my favorite open-mikes was from Slab City in the movie.
