Here in NY it seems to be hard to get insurance. My insurance man tells me he tried 3 different carriers...all turned down He is waiting for a quote on another one. Anyone else have problems with conversion vans? Thats the sort of van that has insurance troubles here. Wonder why?

In Jersey I'm having trouble with State Farm double dipping my checking account each month. I'm going to pay cash through the end of the policy to stop it. Had them for years out west, no problem until I got here. Anyhow, go on line and get an on line quote yourself from Progressive. It's a starting point. I did and the price was the same as State Farm.

I went to Geico because Progressive was a little high. Under 900 a year not to bad!

Not trying to sound like a commercial, but call Geico.
The ONLY insurance company who would insure my lifted, modified, 25 yr old, Off-Road, 4x4 SUV...........was Geico.
Everyone else told me NO WAY. That's ok though, because everyone else wanted too much money even before they knew it had been modified from stock.

I asked Geico about insuring my converted Cargo trailer and they had no clue how/what to do that.
Hmmm I wonder if I'd have a coverage issue if State Farm were to see my lifted and modified Jeep Cherokee? Last time they saw it was about 10 or more years ago when it was close to a stock vehicle. Anyone have any info regarding coverage on such modified vehicles?
