Installing roof fan on van

[font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]I have a fiber glass top on my van an want to install a roof fan. It’s has the outside shell then a metal roll cage then another shell inside. Don’t know how to find a spot to cut the hole for the fan because I can’t see where the metal framing of the roll cage is. Would appreciate any input.[/font]

Use neodymium(rare earth) magnets to locate the cage. The stronger ones(bigger) will find it no problem. Highdesertranger
