I think I'm adding Phoenix to my list of places not to go back to.

Comparatively speaking, Phoenix is known to have a lot of crime, but as others have said, it depends on where you are at what time. I live in Sun City in the Northwest Valley, and feel safe from crime.
However, the POOR air quality (I have asthma) and intense summer heat are major reasons I am leaving.
