LOL.  I guess that would explain why I didn't find it onine.  :)

I finished seam sealing my trailer yesterday using OSI Max in clear.  I wanted to go with the high grade marine sealers, but I am on a tight budget so I went with what appeared to be the best I could afford at the moment.  I will be heading back out on the road in a couple of days for the winter and spring so I guess we will see what happens.

Hello everyone.

I purchased a used 4x6 Aluma trailer...

I figured...I would use silicon sealer on the outside seams...

Moisture inside is a very common issue.
Moist clothing and bedding can develop fungus in hours.
You are right to prevent that problem!

'Silicone caulk':
Silicon caulk breaks the bond at the first bump in the road.
I advise against silicone caulk on vehicles..
It is worthless in our application.

Condensation is a problem with aluminum skins.
Ventilate!
I recommend at least two opposing windows open at least a half-inch... 24/7.

Propane burning is known to produce water vapor from the combustion process.
Cooking, bathing, and breathing produce water vapor.
All this water vapor condenses inside the aluminum skin, and mimics a leaking roof.

To seal external seams, I use a roll of 4"x10' sealer designed for RecreationVehicles and mobile-homes.
It is available in white... my preference to blend-in.
I acquire it at Jerry's, a local-owned home improvement center in Eugene Oregon.

A)
* ventilate
B)
* tape external seams
C)
* cook and bathe outside
D)
* insulate directly on the skin interior with an adhesive flexible insulation designed to minimize condensation, then add additional layers of insulation.

Thanks for all the info and advice.  I was getting ready to leave for the winter when I discovered the leak in the cargo trailer that I have so I bought the best sealer that I could find where I was at the time (OSI MAX) and did the best that I could with it.  Now, several months later after being in several rain storms and also a snow storm that had heavy/wet snow my trailer has not leaked a drop inside.
