Nice van, Van on 66. Your setup looks very similar to my first attempt, down to the solar panel and generator.
I added a raised swing-away carrier as mentioned above to allow rear door opening with stuff on the cargo carrier. That also allows for placement of the generator on the carrier. Depending on the situation, my generator gets moved from inside/outside.
To avoid carrying generator fuel, I have used a crude siphon system, unsuitable to some, to fuel my generator for over three years from my single, 35 gallon fuel tank. The siphon has been used to assist stranded motorists twice. Just a suggestion.
