They did suck.  And the boots!  Fortunately I have big feet so I got to have mens boots rather than those stupid pointy toed womens boots.

I just bought the jump boots as soon as I could. I was thinking about the side zip... actually my women's fatigues had buttons up the side. Dress uniform had a side zip

You're right, buttons. I remember having to pee so bad and allllmost not being able to get them undone in time. I also got to rock those birth control horn rim glasses. good times!

Bahahaha. The glasses!!! RPDs I think we called them (Rape Prevention Devices). Lordy they were ugly!

Optimistic, I forwarded the firetruck picture to my all too serious oldest son who is a Firefighter. He saw no humor, I think it's a riot.

I'll send him the link, he truly found his'calling' when he became a Firefighter after doing the job to job thing for a few years after college. He got hired by one of the higher income cities near here and they sponsored his certification.

Best job I ever had, I never would have left the department if I hadn't gotten hurt.  Even though I ended up with a mangled leg, I wouldn't trade my experiences for anything.  Tell him the pic is from 1983.

He loves his job. I think only his kids come before work and his fellow Firefighters. He's always been quiet and reserved, unless you get him talking about his job. It's good to do something you love as a profession.

I found a youtube channel called 'Caught in Providence' about traffic court in Providence Rhode Island. There are short clips (2-3 minutes) and full length (25 minutes) clips.
I find it very amusing, kind of like Judge Judy but real and no bad attitude.

It may not be for all but I find it amusing and the Judge to be very interesting.
