1,200 BTU isn't going to do much in a van. If you are good at fabricating you can go with a window unit, less money but I am not sure they will hold up to all the abuse bouncing along our fine roads here.

I am going with the Carrier Mach 1 Power Saver to replace my non-cooling pos on there now. PPL RV has some decent sales going on now, about the cheapest AC I could find.

one good thing is you really don't need a solution for 5 or 6 months. so you have a lot of time to get it figured out. highdesertranger
