It will not work in an environment where it has no place to exhaust the heat it extracts form the air it cools, you can't change the laws of physics
the battery powered part is good, the portable part is good, you will still need to hang it out a window for the waste heat to exit any enclosed space

 According to the vid, they say it needs a hose attached to the exhaust and vented outside for interior applications. ..Willy.

Tried a portable AC in a bed room. The exhaust tube was hot and radiated heat into the room. The AC exhausted the air from the room out the tube through the window. When the room air was exhausted out from the room, guess what the makeup air was. Hot and humid. The AC worked extra hard and did not come close to cooling the room or even lowering the humidity to make it comfortable.
