Not sure where to start, take a peek at my profile for more detailed information. Do not currently have a RV or Van, but making plans for future downsizing and travel. Used to be an OTR truck driver, and living PT out of a smaller space was fun. That was many years ago now. This Sept will be a camping trip in a rented van, basic equipment and supplies just to see if 2 can live with a large golden retriever in such a small space. Have rented a 24' RV in the past and it was the perfect size. Purchasing one though is another thing.
I have already been learning quite a bit here and from watching Bob's video's. Hoping to make some connections that last into the future. Are there any boondockers/RV dwellers in my area? (SE Pennsylvania)
Thank you for reading..

Welcome! Still looking myself. Suuch an adventure.

Plenty of helpful, knowledgeable follks here will help with questions pertaining certain vehicles. 2 people and a dog in a van? That might be a tight fit!

Welcome to the CRVL Forums   :)

Yes, tight spaces can be be the challenge.  When I traveled in my first Van,  an early Ford Econoline,  I often took the family wiener dog with me.  She was always happier outside the Van laying underneath it.  Or sleeping in my bed while we were under way.

I'd read in a Book titled Body Language that people needed 9 square feet when standing to be comfortable.  I would guess a minimum of 12 to 13 sq ft when laying down. Bunks being 24 to 28 inches wide & 6 ft long.

Good luck on your first Van outing and I hope you have a great time.
