By free I mean not owned by [size=small][font='Helvetica Neue', 'Segoe UI', Helvetica, Arial, 'Lucida Grande', sans-serif]banking, telecom, pharma, and insurance cartels. Hi

What part of Michigan. I grew up in the corn fields around Flint.

Hey look - it's another Michigander!
I think we all want out this time of year :)  I'm in the middle of the mitten, and they're talking snow flurries for today.
Enjoy the forum, and good luck with your plan.

Yes Mayble, I woke up this afternoon to a sleet/snow mix. I'm south east of Grand Rapids. Farm country with plenty of lakes and state land close. Love camping, hiking, biking, and traveling the state. But getting too old to find pleasure in the cold and snow.

Hello Lj:

Welcome aboard! I'm east of Grand Rapids, in Ada!

This is a great site; enjoy yourself!

I am back home now dealing with my fathers passing. Warmer than Colorado except for the humidity.

The sevice is not for a few days so i can get my fill of coney dogs, pickled Bologna and smoked white fish.

Sorry you had to come back under those circumstances.

I understand you would have a hard time finding smoked whitefish in Denver. But no pickled bologna or coneys in Denver???

I have the weekend off for once, and I have this crazy urge to drive across the bridge just to get a real pasty.

Another ex-Flintite here. Was there a month or so ago. What a sad sight it was. You should (and probably do) feel fortunate to be able to travel and see new sights and experience new adventures. There's a lot of really cool places and people that await you. Welcome to the forum.
