Hello Fellow Rvers! I started this journey, living in an RV fulltime (with two dogs), about a year and a half ago. I had some wonderful support from one of the members here as well as others I met on RV group websites.

I stuck it out in Slab City this summer to see what it would be like to live in 110-120 degree heat. I also wanted to save money on gas as I have a 33 ft Southwind. (Don't know what my actual MPG is but it is LOW). I used the hose A LOT! hehe Thus WATER was a biggie. Did not worry about water conservation, just kept filling up the tank. I survived! ANd I saved.

There is lots to see and do here in Slab City if you are confident with Boondocking. If not, there are plenty of people here that can share their experience and help. There is good, bad and ugly issues, but the good is pretty cool so we stay. The fulltime residents have meetings every Sat trying to come up with solutions to these issues. We try our best and welcome positive ideas/volunteers from Snowbird visitors.

I hope to have some sort of van to take off next the summer with pups in tow. Better gas mileage and smaller than the Southwind that I will keep for my fulltime living. I welcome ideas for that endeavor.
Cheers!
Robi
