My name is Rose Arabia, I've been working towards living in a van full-time for the past year and plan on hitting the road in another two years.  I'm a 52 yr old mother of 4 grown children, and a grandmother of 10.  I am choosing van life for numerous reasons - more reasons that I want to list here.  However, the most important reason I have is that it is time for me to live my life with the freedom to come and go as I please and be close to nature in a quiet and peaceful way.

Keep on working towards achieving your goal. It can be a very pleasant and interesting life.

Welcome Rose to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome to the forum rose Rose. We have very similar goals I’ve been meeting mine for the last 15 months. I wouldn’t trade it or go back. Not that the nomad life doesn’t have any stress, But being able to turn But being able to turn those wheels and go to a less stressful place does feel good.

Welcome! There is nothing in the world like coming to a "T" in the road, and being able to flip a coin to decide which way to go.
