Has anyone found a recent unlimited HOTSPOT cellular plan?

Recent google reviews look good, but the price is high, link to site. $150 per month is a deal breaker for me, and speed is going to be based on how close to the tower you are and how much traffic there is.

I chatted with a rep today and could not guarantee 20mbps upload at a fixed location equipment in town, though he said verizon coverage was great there ( two bars). Still looking for a good hotspot to run my S&B.

Centurylink wants $49 monthly and says 100mbps down AND upload thru the old phone lines wired into this place. Centurylink cuts you off after a terabit.

I've had centurylink for about 15 years at my home base. I get about 150 mbps down and about 20 mbps up. I have no data cap at all.

You mean terabyte. That's 1000 gigabytes, which is whole lot of data. Though I know people that hit it regularly because they download 100 gigabyte video games. But as I said, my centurylink has no data cap at all.

That's encouraging news, barleyguy. Maybe I can get centurylink over here to test my S&B. The last owner said that data speed would be fast.

So far I have one camera running on a cell phone hot spot for live security monitoring, through visible. The camera only sends video when there is movement, so not much happening.

If I want more cameras I will get cctv and do my own recording, cos sending a lot of video over the internet is expensive. I do not know how youtubers can afford it.

Visible here too, for $25/month.
I connect it to my computer (I use the USB port, WiFi seems slower) and works fine.
Occasionally gets slower, but most of the time is fast.
I'm happy with it.

The camera keeps dropping out after operating for a short while. My guess: not enough of the mbps stuff going on here.

I just chatted with visible, and their service does not support a hot spot such as the jetpack, mifi, or nighthawk; only supports phones. So the question for visible users: which phone has the best hot spot? Can any phone connect to multiple devices?

I did a speed test today with my visible phone with the result 30 mbps download and 0 upload speeds.

You have to make sure that the model of LTE router you use is compatible with Verizon. There are a few threads that explain some APN changes that might need to be made on the device to get it to work properly.

I have tried my Visible sim in a Sierra Wireless RVs50X and it works fine. You have to do all initial setup and activation with an approved type phone. In my case, the sim came before I had my used iphone in hand, so popped the sim into a friends unlocked iphone, activated it, took the sim out and tried it in the RV50x. Worked perfectly.

Does Visible support this configuration? No. But it will work.

You have a Visible phone that you attach to your computer via the USB cable?

Yes Becida, I use my visible phone on my laptop via usb (tethering it) and at the same time I can use my tablet or watch Netflix on mifi. Great.

Visible hot spot is unlimited and works well for me.
