in the stippled light
intoxicating scent of
jasmine lingering
 
jasmine lingering
as she drove off the mesa
flying through the air
 
Flying through the air --
and what else would you fly through? --
landing on my feet.

amongst the gravel and stone

Okay let's try to keep the "thread-killer" last lines out of our poems. We need to be able to progress one post to the next. That's part of the job.
Can we get a re-do with a last line that encourages something to follow it please?
 
the super freak roam
the wide open space their home
riding on the wind
 
their eyes are watchful
always looking for their prey
in the light of day
 
parasites are too
dependent on everything
like mother and child
 
kids are the parent
trying to keep me in line
rebelling is fun
