Part of the National Park deal is bears. Even if the grey water has no food or any organic products mixed in, it is a bear attractant.

So I just want a little bit more control over dumping my dish water and often my tooth brushing with bkg soda water so in my van I have a jug with a fuel funnel and I actually put a coffee filter into it to further catch and toss bits of food particles or coffe grounds that I missed. Don't you hate campsites or parking lots with coffee grounds splashed around? And yes I have done that before - no more!
Now I can dump my jug in a toilet, dump station, water a garden or disperse with intention. I feel better.
My coffee filter goes into the trash though it could be composted.
Showering outside mine is still going on the ground tho very minimal biodegradable soaps or bkg soda are used.

Good plan on the coffee filters, I'll pack mine in the van instead of putting them in the free bin at my yardsales. I don't drink coffee so mine are used for filtering ghee.

It should be noted that you're using as remote a boondocking site as you can get in to. It's not like you're using a campsite in an area that is heavily used.

The thing I hate, hate, hate is finding cigarette butts all over the ground in a campsite. If you have to smoke, use a can. The filters take something like 50 years to degrade if ever...Yes, on my soapbox again!!... :D

Ammo brass is like gold nowadays. Being a handloader I retrieve all mine and whatever else I can use or trade
I hate seeing trash though. Broken glass is especially bad.

As someone who really enjoys being barefoot, I agree that broken glass is especially bad! I'll be using plastic tumblers for any outdoor drinking.
