Hi All,

The missus and I are currently building our van out, getting our investments in order, and socking away as much cash as we can to start our VanLife adventure.  We are hoping 2022 is the year that we make enough passive money from investments that we can live the life we want.  In the meantime, youtube videos and a lot of google research is being done so that our Chevy Express "Wallace" is seriously BA.  I just bought Bob's book and read it in one sitting. Awesome book, especially loved the part about rebelling against the norms of consumerisim and reverting back to our roots.  We have always felt we just don't fit in with "normal people" hahaha but the past 12 months or so of reading and researching everything VanLife, we have concluded not being "normal" might just be the best thing ever.  Anyways, just wanted to drop a hello and a small introduction. We are Tim and Carmela, soon to be on the road.  Take care and live the dream.

I too am saving for 2022, just now getting started on my NV200. I am planning on living in my camper and saving to hit the venture road later, permanently.

Welcome Tim and Camela to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Hi good luck, same here 2022 goal, maybe late 2021. I'm from NJ not far at all. I'm so tired of "normal" so called stuff. Like it's normal paying 1/2 your salary in pure rent or things like that. If I had 50 million dollars I'd still want to live a minimalist, helping others, trying not to consume that much because what's the darn point... Save it for someone that needs it is my mindset. GL with "wallace".
