Greetings,
I am currently in NC and have been updating and getting a Ford E150 van ready for full time use. I started while I had 5 months left on my Apartment lease. I purchased the van for $1600 with 230,000 miles.
It runs good, but needs the usual work that most old cars need. AAA helped in my first few long trips. I also purched a Champion generator hoping to run a window AC in the van, but its a pain in the ass to pull out and setup and fans and open windows have been managable most evenings.
This has not been an easy ride with a lot of failures and learning experiences and triumphs. I had moments where I wanted to just give the whole thing up and go back and extend the lease on my apartment.
But something inside me was burning for the adventure. Every weekend I took the van out I knew this lifestyle was right for me.
So Here I am one week into fulltime so far.
Hope to connect with others on here
