My name is Phil and I live in my 2003 economize. I retired from home depot a couple of months ago.  As I have very limited income I decided the only way I could retire is to live in a van. For eight months I fitted out my van with a fridge freezer,  tv, bed and solar.  I moved full-time to  van living in September  sleeping in the store parking lot. At the end of May I  took off on my first trip.  Death Valley followed by  all the north western states from the Dakotas back. I am currently cruising down the Oregon coast heading back to Plymouth Ca about mid June. I find i aren't much of a tourist but am enjoying the freedom. I will be 67 on the middle day of the year and would love to meet up with people with similar outlooks. I have just burnt my potatoes because of you. I look forward to meeting people.

Welcome to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome to the forum OZYBSTD. If you’re still around the Home Depot could you smuggle on a couple of sheets of plywood for me? I don’t have a use for them but I thought I’d store away as an investment. that stuffs climbing faster than gold right now. I have a friend who owns a large independent hardware farm and home lumberyard store. I said now if your markup is 20% and in the last year lumber has gone up 250% you obviously are doing good aren’t you. He just smiled

Someday you’ll have to explain your posting name to me I’m too dumb to get it.

Sounds like you've traveled. With gas the way it is I won't be doing much of that. Just started yesterday and still adjusting. 74 in July. And am near Sacramento. Up for a meetup.
