You might want to ad that they are all plug-ins to Adobe software and not stand-alone products.

I downloaded the software yesterday (almost 500MB) and just deleted it :huh: ......no Adobe here!

Sorry.  OnOne software works as a stand alone, as well as plug ins for Photoshop and Lightroom.  I forgot that Nik doesn't.

Nope it's a stripped down version of photoshop , the best I could find was a free trial..........

I got curious, so I did a search on using Nik as stand alone programs.  It turns out that it CAN be done, but it's tricky.

Irfanview and Gimp/Ufraw work pretty well.

Havent done any HDR with it though. Although you can do stacked exposures.

I've used the software that came with my Canon camera "Zoombrowser" since 2008.
Good stuff !
I also have Gimp but usually go with the Zoombrowser for quick n easy and am very familiar with it.

I am going to check out that video OP posted about using the google software as a stand alone app.
(I deleted it but still have it in my recycle bin)
I do love to try out lots of free software!
