well the first one they don't give you the mileage which seems suspicious. they don't give you a lot of info, more bells and whistles type of stuff. note it says 12v coolers if those are thermoelectric they ain't worth squat.

the second one I let others comment on I don't like front wheel drives. highdesertranger

A Chrysler with that mileage might be for sale because it's starting to nickle and dime the current owner...definitely pay a mechanic to go over it first.

Here's an interesting site: 2003 Chrysler Town & Country Problems

Happy shopping   :)

I prefer rear wheel drive but others are going to say front wheel drive is the bees knees. that's why I said others would comment.

boy are you in trouble, because I can drink some beer. seriously though you don't owe me anything I am just trying to help, I would do it for anybody. highdesertranger

Hey now..... I remember a day when you couldn't drink. :p Worn out from the night before that is. You still give good advice though.

So that's why you have dual refrigerators , LOL

Thanks for responding, these are not worth considering, no one else needs to waste time on them, but starts the craigslist process for me.

I don't drink so u all can share it, I have no idea why I like to buy it:)

I used to hate front wheel drive too, untill I started working on them and saw that some things are actually easier to fix on them (not many, though)
the chrysler minivans though I would avoid, they aren't very well built at all
Also. if I went off road much I wouldn't mess with a FWD either
Pros and cons

I think the 4-cyl engines that Chrysler useto put into Y2k-ish Dodge minivans aren't too bad. The auto transmissions suck, but if you found a rare 5 speed Caravan.. Your set..

What Steamjam said. We had a Chrysler mini van for several years as the family mobile. It was a love/hate thing. Out on the highway it averaged in the mid 20 mpgs, even pushing it through the mountains loaded with the family, dog, luggage, etc... Ours had the v6 so it was actually fairly peppy. But when we sold it at about 120,000 miles the transmission was starting to act like it had before it went the first time - sluggish shifts and sometimes delays when you went to take off from a stop. The first trans only lasted to about 80,000 and I had a shop I trusted rebuild it, but I guess anyone can have a bad day at work and I didn't put any upgrades into it, but still, 2 transmissions in 120,000 miles is not acceptable in my book, especially in a van that spent most of it's life as just a mom mobile runnin kids around.
