We always have to drive back to the same town to pick my prescriptions. Does anyone know a way to fill prescriptions in different cities? Since we're just boondocking we're close to a different city every month or 2.
In 2010 we went up the PCH and filled prescriptions along the way but it was very difficult and brought us into a major city(which we usually try to avoid) for at least 2 days and that always cost more money.
Let me know if you have any tips...others have to also have this problem.

thanks

I ran out of a med somewhere in Arizona several years ago. Because I use Wally-world for my prescriptions I stopped at one on the way home to NW Florida. Took about an hour or less to fill the 'Refill'.

Works for me.

I've used CVS, from the east coast to the west coast, for the last 5 years. I know others that use Walgreens.

I've always made my doctors aware that I am traveling so if the pharmacy has any questions my docotr is aware I am on the road. I can call or order my prescriptions on-line and pick them up at any CVS I designate. I've never had a problem.

I recently read an article about the large amount of screw ups for snowbirds, and although I have never had a problem, I will make sure to double check and make sure the correct meds are being dispensed.

I get mine filled in Mexico -- no need for a prescription. Algodones is near Yuma, AZ.

Thanks for the help guys.
For some reason walmart always takes at least 2 days if we are out of state. Doctor knows we are always on the road and lets us just come and see him every 6 months which is nice but I wish he could just give me 6 months of meds so I wouldn't have to worry about it. The scammers mess it up for everyone.

My insurance would mess that up for me because they no longer dispense more than one month at a time. I was on a few meds that I took daily but with taking a more holistic approach to things I have now no need for meds YAY! I know it has to be a pain though. Hope you find a great way to get your meds safely and easily. HuggZ

I use Walgreen's, I have an iOS app, that let's me order refills and everything, and it knows what the closest Walgreen's is, and where, so it's really easy. They text me whenever it's ready for pickup (usually same day, or next day worst case so far).
