Perhaps you would like to join in a discussion of underbreast intertrigo resulting from living in a van with no air conditioning (which BTW for anyone interested is easily treated with Cortizone-10). I sure your voice of reason would greatly reduce the suffering of women who experience this.

Edit: The purpose of this forum is to offer support for people living in vehicles. Women experience their own unique issues, and offering them a 'soft place to fall' on sensitive subjects would appear to be in keeping with this intent. It has nothing to do with discrimination. It has everything to do with helping each other.

Life is very complicated and difficult so to help me guide myself through it I live by a set of rules. The most important of which is RULE #62: DON'T TAKE YOURSELF SO DAMNED SERIOUSLY.

It's not my job in life to right every perceived wrong. It's not my job in life to fix every little problem. Truth, Justice, Purity and the American Way will get along just fine without help from me.

What does concern me very very much is the huge number of people getting steam-rolled by the economy and are at the very ends of their rope. They are being evicted from their homes and the unemployment has run out. They aren't sure how they will buy food or stay warm in a snowstorm.

I am dedicated to the idea of reaching out to them and letting them know there is hope, their lives can go on and be happy again. We have found a way and we would love to show you how we did it.

So when I read threads like this I do get concerned that when those people get here they can't get real help because we are too busy bickering with each other over nothing.

We are better than this! Let's put our energy into being helpful and kind to every member of the group, having fun together along the way. If we will all do that then all these little issues will fade into the non-issues they are.
Bob

yesican, a couple of times on the forum you have said something was posted that degraded women and not one man spoke out against it. I, for one, haven't seen the post you are referring to. Please point it out to me, Thanks.
I truly do not understand the dustup here. The simple idea that women might want to have a conversation without contributions from men seems just that, simple. I in no way feel my fragile male ego threatened by it. This forum doesn't reflect society in general or it's commonly understood values, but a different and just as valid set of values. If you really have an issue with a ladies only spot here perhaps you could just skip to the next line and let it go! For anyone looking to be offended by this post, I meant it in the best possible way!

yesican: Assuming my post on the Rest Stop thread is the one you referred to, the way you've described it is untrue, and the reasons for deletion aren't the ones Kate gave prior to deleting it. She deleted a series of posts concerning a video taken by a passive camera by Santa Fe County, of a New Mexico State Policeman in uniform engaged in sex with a woman on the hood of a car.

Kate explained her reasons for deleting the posts as being her assertion I was "speculating, stirring the pot, and trolling". She finished her remark with the clarification, "That's what I'm thinking."

I have no problem with Kate deleting the post for whatever reasons she might have for doing it. She admitted it was conjecture, or her own thinking, and her job is to make those kinds of judgements.

However, since the post isn't there for examination and for other individuals to form their own judgements about what was said and why it was deleted, seems to me it's inappropriate for you to refer to it at all, but most particularly to describe it in terms suggesting it as something it was not.

And it was not.

However, having said all that, I'm damned glad Kate is doing the job she's doing to keep the site from being a battleground. Even though I've little doubt your post describing my post will be overlooked, or supported, or excused.

But that's because you're you, and I'm me. I have no problem with that style of moderation, so long as Kate continues in her efforts to throw water on the fires. She's welcome to delete posts by me anytime.

Almost certainly including this one.

Well Joseph, Kate did delete it, and I'm very thankful for that because it was VERY OFFENSIVE to women who don't think we need to be viewed soley as a "piece of a**". I did not view the video, the picture of him screwing her on the hood of the car was enough. Do not dictate to me how to respond to such offensive material. I think you owe an apology to all women on here who had to view that crapt; women who view themselves more than just sex toys for men. It may have been on youtube, but that doesn't mean it has to be glorified here. And, you can write out 10 paragraphs of wordy crapt, none of which can ever justify your behavior.

Rae

The only problem I have had with it is sometimes under 'new posts' (which is a search result of all forums mingled together) i will click an interesting thread and read it, and want to make a reply, before realizing I just read the wrong forum to do that in I know it displays "girls room forum" in a column to the side but on my phone its off screen and sometimes i fail to notice when im tired. I've taken extra care after the second time this happened. But i'll be honest, im here to glean what i can from everyone, so i wont promise i wont read threads in there if i think it something interesting or applicable to me.

I don't know what level of programming you have, but im fairly certain you can make that forum disappear completely from male members, just make gender a registration requirement, then run a check on that before displaying that forum. Ever joined a forum that had different levels of members and hide forums from higher tears (admin only for instance)? Same concept. Of course this might pose an issue with people who identify with an opposite gender or whatever.

I do agree with what someone mentioned about the over proliferation of sub forums here though. I think a lot of them could fall under a more broad forum category, it can be kind of confusing and time consuming to sift through so many different forums. (ive gone back to try to find a semi new previous post and had a heck of a time finding it, and the search feature is nice but a lot of times you get too many unrelated old results).
