i know there are many post on generators but i just ordered a Sportsman 2200-Watt Dual Fuel Inverter Generator

don't really need a generator, i part time boondock a few days a month and my 400 watts solar meets my needs
but i wanted a small generator for backup

the reason for choosing this model ?

1) inverter model
2) propane & gas
3) price , i know ...i know you get what you pay for $499 & free shipping https://www.ebay.com/itm/182844525834

wish me luck and i have a 4 day weekend coming up to test i'll be sure to give reviews

i also picked up a sea eagle 10.6 SR for $400 cash off cl

Looks like you have a good-sized RV there....

Hey let me know how you like the Sea Eagle....I had thought about buying a small inflate-able but havent yet.

I have the 2000/1400 dual fuel and use Propane. I don't run it that often, maybe a couple times a month so it's not worth using gas and then have to deal with ***** carb jets from the evaporated ethanol.
You may know this but you get 10% less power output (wattage) with propane than gasoline.

Received my generator today and like a little kid i ripped the package open ,
threw some oil in it ,
grabbed a bottle of propane and hooked everything up
and fired this bad boy up

plugged into my cargo, set my a/c to 72 and let it run for 1 hour & everything worked great.
Handled the load fine, quiet running and lightweight compared to my 4,000 watts loud & heavy generator

i have a 5 day boondocking / fishing trip next week and will do a full test

sounds like a decent deal on the gennie...  Is it an inverter generator?

Out of curiosity, are propane generators any quieter than gas generators?
