Future Van Dweller in Michigan, USA

My partner (spouse, husband, buddy, best friend) and I are retiring in 3 years and want to become van dwellers. We want to purchase a slightly used van and start working on the conversion and taking it for spins on camping and music festivals. Any suggestions on what to look for and what to stay away from and resources we should look at would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to being part of this forum!

Welcome to the CRVL forums morgamar! Rust is a big problem in the midwest so that's the first thing to consider. Buy out of state if you can. Have a mechanic check any van that you like before you buy it. Read over some of the threads in the van section to see which ones are considered better than others.
