I'm done with this argument. It is a no win. I don't know what chart you use, but mine are presumably different.

I have not seen the charts in question but many of the charts I have seen assume we are talking about a conductor in free air, but for house wiring or bundled DC looms, they may assume several conductors in the same run of enclosed conduit, or next to flammable surfaces, and the amps are de-rated in that case, or SHOULD be.

To answer the OP question, 7.5 amp fuse should work well.
