couple of points nothing is 100% efficient. in fact most gasoline engines are only in the range of 25% efficiency. plus that formula is not taking into consideration the load on the engine from the AC and of course the alternator running the fans. the AC fans are pretty high amp loads. highdesertranger
 
So Leef. How's life living in a Ford Transit Connect?

I just found a 2000 Dodge Roadtrek 170 on CL, but the $20,000 price tag and lousy fuel economy scared me off.

Think I'll stick with my TC a while longer.

Still loving it.  I do mostly urban stealth. If I were doing campgrounds or dispersed camping I might do something different.
