Hey Everyone!

Im Korey, an almost 30 year old disabled veteran that is about to take off and begin a new life as a nomad. I was going to wait until new years day to leave Michigan and head to the RTR, but im too fired up, so I think im going to head to Arizona the first week of December to start exploring and making some new friends with whoever may already be at Quartzite or Ehrenberg. Any good fishing around there? Either way, im very excited to kick this journey off and meet some like minded people, since everyone I know thinks Ive lost my mind, but I know ive stumbled upon freedom, so its time to do this!

My reasoning behind starting this new life is simply that I have never felt truly free in my life, even during the 6 years I wore a uniform with an American flag on my right shoulder. There is something wrong with that. Ive been on a sort of “spiritual journey” (for lack of better words) for the last few years, and realize that I need to start living a lifestyle that will give me peace, no matter what anyone else thinks. Im tired of feeling stuck, depressed, and miserable, so this is me taking action to try to change all that. Im really happy that there are people like you ladies and gents that are already out there living this life and are willing to be open and welcoming the way you all seem to be. Now days I feel that thats very rare, so again, im excited to meet all of you that I can and I look forward to hopefully making some lasting friendships and some great memories!!

Warmest Regards,

Korey

Welcome Korey.

Bob has created the most amazing space here on CRVL. I'm sure as more people wake up and stretch they'll welcome you as well. I'm a veteran as well (currently a ctr in Kuwait getting funds for my vehicle and build). Excited to get on the road as well. Be safe, keep your head low, remember to PMCS your vehicle before every trip (jokes) and I look forward to crossing roads with you.

Being stuck, depressed and miserable are choices that seem difficult and overwhelming at times - Seek out your brothers and sisters (in arms) our ears, minds and hearts are attuned to where you are coming from regardless of race or gender unlike others. We all share the same story though it may be at different degrees. #VetLife HUGS Hit me in PM if you like.
