Free Wi-Fi Site

If anyone is interested, on yahoo this morning, the first article is about places where you can get free wifi. I clicked on the story and there is a link you can go to inside the story that has a listing of some free wifi places by state. Just click on the state you are in, then the town and there is a list of some free wifi spots. I am completely computer illiterate, so I didn't know how to add a link directly to the article, maybe someone else can do that for everyone. I just book marked the article for future reference. Anyway, thought it might be helpful to ya'll.

Cool thing to remember is all places have a library and Mcdonalds... both have free Wifi... should keep you in touch...<br>

Man in looking at places I know have free Wi-Fi, this list is lacking or is old... But still correct... We are getting to the place in America where there will be a list of places where there is not Wi-Fi, instead of where it is at, which is a good thing... <img src="https://vanlivingforum.com/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" align="absmiddle"><br>

Lowes actually provides WIFI too (at least here)... but it's only for up to 2 hours a day. And you probably have to be in the store to get the signal. But it you have an android or the like, you can use it there. But it's another source of free WIFI none the less.<br>

If you have a smart phone it is very easy to find free wi-fi all you need to do is download a free app. call "wi-fi&nbsp;locator". This free app. is&nbsp;available through the google play store and is at no cost. You do&nbsp;however have to agree to the terms and agreements like all apps require. When you use the app. it will bring up a map that&nbsp;shows&nbsp;where&nbsp;you are on the map and it shows where the free wi-fi is located. The map is&nbsp;similar&nbsp;to the maps used by google so you can pan out quite a ways.&nbsp;

<p>Also, all National Tire and Battery, Big O Tires, Tire Kingdom and Merchants stores, have free wifi for customers. The signal is generally strong enough to access from the parking lot, and the signal stays on even after the stores are closed. They are also used to people dropping off vehicles after closing time overnight to be repaired in the morning. It can be a restful spot to stop, browse the web, and get a little shut eye.</p>

<p>I like hospitals, too.&nbsp; The other day Dad was having a pacemaker replaced (they don't change the Energizer Bunny batteries)... While he was in surgery, I took the netbook into the cafeteria.<br /><br />The hospital had a fantastic salad bar and wonderful soups.&nbsp; I had a very reasonably priced meal and lots of fast, free wifi.&nbsp; One could even bring your own granola bar and a bottle of water, etc. and nobody would be any the wiser.<br /><br />I just posted about the local shopping mall, too.&nbsp; It's got great free wifi and keeping a pop cup around makes you blend in a little easier by looking like a customer.&nbsp;&nbsp; *grin*<br /><br />More&nbsp;wifi seems to be popping up at Anytime Fitness locations.&nbsp;&nbsp; Yesterday I worked out in Iowa City, had a refreshing shower, and sat in a super cushy chair reading the email...&nbsp; Fun stuff, safe, and no extra purchase required.. There is a website that even has even more wifi hotspots, some free some not.&nbsp; It is a little more technical.&nbsp; I forgot the name.&nbsp; Before I secured my business wifi, it was on there as free, I have not checked in a while.<br><br>Go ahead and message me, I usually check messages before I get on the forum.<br><br>Also, has anyone heard of mesh?

I think that is more for your own wifi router to send out a stronger signal to other devices you have.&nbsp; Basically a repeater

I use Lowe's wifi many times a week because I work in the same lot. <BR><BR>After my 2 hour time limit runs out, I just open a new page and agree to the terms again...<BR><BR>I've never had a problem simply reconnecting. Though, I rarely spend more than 2 hours, it does come in handy if I am streaming movies, or in the middle of something.<BR><BR>I have heard of Starbucks filing a lawsuit against someone parking outside to use the free wifi, but never buying anything... Has anyone ever run into a problem like this?&nbsp; I always buy something if I go in, but not always if I'm outside in the truck.&nbsp; I suppose the wifi is meant for real customers, not 'homeless folks'. haha<BR><BR>-Noah
