"When the invitation comes for a new life and urgency calls for better opportunities, how does one answer? History is peopled with those who have left the comfort of the known world to embark on journeys where their footprints have left permanent markers on the future. Against impossible odds they have followed their dreams, trusting in the unseen providence that births a new land from the womb of the old world behind them, and in their journeying they come to realize that everything that is has needed their participation. Their lives already lived are held in reverence by those who come after and who hold them up like beacons illuminating the wide and timeless expanse of eternity.

In Journey of Hope, Three young women leave Independence Missouri in the spring of 1852 on a wagon train bound for the Oregon territory. Brenna and her family are Irish immigrants. Rebecca travels with her large family from Iowa. Emily is a young bride traveling with her husband Ernest. Six months and two thousand miles later they reach their destination much changed from who they were when they started. Daily life on the wagon train is challenging. Cholera is rampant, crime not unheard of, and death is an ever present visitor. Their hopes and fears are realized in unforgettable experiences of love and loss. Through it all they form a bond with each other that will last a lifetime and encompass the vast and untamed regions of the heart."

"... “Somewhere On The Road To Key West” offers the standard plethora of zany characters: Rufus, the mystical Rastaman, who’s convinced that luck is nothing more than “da gods adjusting da rabbit ears on da television of life”, Benny The Rat, a struggling larcenist who’s taking correspondence courses to become a bullfighter, Crazy Eddie and his aging but fabulous “Goose,” and last but not least, “The Griffins.” (There are some things you just don’t mess with – like bubonic plague, nuclear weapons, and The Griffins…) So sit back, pour yourself margarita, and slide into the Caribbean for another wild and crazy caper. You’re somewhere on The Road, again."

Somewhere on the road to Keywest is great. I read about a year ago and totally enjoyed it. There is also second book that comes up free occasionally. Still in Keywest of course and same characters. Good read.

"Take a ride with Alexander Aloysius Aristophanes Murphy II as his world collides with everyone and everything that Boston has to offer; where even crossing the street disturbs destiny and punches a hole in the universe. Climb aboard for an unforgettable trip captained by one of the most unusual yet perversely charming degenerates to walk across the pages of a book.

Remember MURPHY’S AMERICAN DREAM is not for those who love puppies, bouquets of flowers and romantic Sunday strolls in the park. But if you want to share time with a man caught between the forces of conscience and disaster, forces that challenge him at every twist and turn, then sign up for this wildly original and outrageously humorous adventure."

"Midnight’s Chicken is based on one segment of my life-long journey that took me to over 130 countries. Cal O Cal, the narrator and the main character in the book, is my alter ego. The book is a sequence of interconnected satirical stories that began when a pair of beautiful yellow pants suddenly entered my life and we decided to travel the world together..."
