You do a great service for us on this thread, thanks bunches.

Here is a short book on wilderness survival tips. I have NOT read it, so I'm NOT endorsing it. I went through the "sample" you can read for free on the book's Amazon sales page and found a few grammar errors there. BUT, it is free (at the time I got my copy), so it may worth your while if you find a few things in it you did not know.

So Wild a Dream (Rendezvous Book 1)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C6NYRTY

"Life in rural Pennsylvania in the 1820s doesn't hold much appeal for young, adventurous, ambitious Sam Morgan. He decides to make his life--and maybe his fortune--on the frontier, but his first step is to get there. He secures a job as a hand on a riverboat, and the adventure begins. His crewmates are the usual assortment of rascals, rapscallions, and borderline crooks, among them a half-breed Delaware Indian, a scam artist, a wily riverboat captain, and a former prostitute who may be more dangerous than any of her companions. In their travels up and down the rivers, the crew experience a multitude of adventures, including a bloody confrontation with two brothers who had been bounced from the crew. Sam provides muscle on the boat, and his marksmanship keeps the crew supplied with fresh game when they anchor at nightfall. Author Blevins, an expert on early American fur trade, introduces his Rendezvous series with this entertaining, vivid portrait of frontier America as seen through the eyes of an impressionable youth."

Not sure if this is allowed or not (if not, just let me know and it will be the last time); but I run across free rv/van/camp/etc. books occasionally.  This one is currently available for a limited time (Note: you do NOT need a Kindle to read)

Those are exactly what is allowed in this thread !(Free E Books )
It's what the thread was started for.
THX for those posts.

LOL, this thread is not where I posted either of them.  It will be now that I know about it though.

Edelweiss is a good place to get upcoming books. This is especially useful if you review books on a blog. Publishers often want to get books into the hands of book bloggers before they are released into the wild so that they can read them and write reviews. You have to register to get the review copies though.

After looking over the site a little more, I have a question --- What (if any) are the parameters of "permissible" free ebooks posts??? The sites I find many are directed toward preppers/off grid cooking & living; most I would not have thought to post here until I saw posts about homesteading, various meal recipes, etc. So????

Look back through the thread,,,,those types have already been posted. (Only 30 pages)
I guess pretty much anything , we do get to decide whether to download or not.

A short description as well as the link is always nice................

If it's free, post it. There should be a wide range of interests here..

Most folks would probably take a chance on a new genre when the price of admission is free.

From the first post in the thread
"Please post links to free E-books, pertaining to travel and the van-dwelling lifestyle,* in this thread...
...*pertaining to the van-dwelling lifestyle/travel is up for interpretation."

Considering anyone/everyone on the road the majority of the time has connection issues on a semi-regular basis; I decided to just post a couple of the websites that would have the "travel and van-dwelling lifestyle" free e-books (along with topics that have no relevance no matter how loosely your interpretation) I would be sharing here.  Both sites are updated daily, so choices are usually different each day --- though many seem to "repeat" over the course of a few months:

The first one is for general prepper and survival ebooks --- www.prepforshtf.com/free-kindle-books-limited-time-offers/

The second is geared toward cookbooks for all forms of off grid circumstances --- www.offgrid.cooking/free-cooking-kindle-ebooks-updated-daily/
