Happened to wander upon a "campsite" in Texas last year on Lake Meredith. 5 or 6 sites each with an overhang, grill area, flat land for tent, and a common bathroom/shower. No gates, no fees, no patrol.

Is this what blm land is like? I want to go to more places like this but don't know how to find them

I haven't been on any BLM or NSF areas that were free that had any amenities at all. No bathrooms, trash cans, tables and certainly no showers. The closest thing to a site even is a stone fire ring built by someone that has camped there before.

Shows if its free or has a fee, amenities (if any) and if there is a stay limit.

Texas has no BLM land. There are BLM campgrounds, but they tend to charge a small fee. Some National Forest campgrounds are free, they tend to be out of the way and offer fewer services. One I know of did not replace the tables and fire rings after they were vandalized.
