Well written and good thoughts that I also find to be true, MT...thanks,
Bri

If one were to be formed I'd rather it be more in spirit what the ACLU does to protect us and this way of life. The problem I've seen is when a new pharoh is elected to take the helm and steers things off course ever so slightly so as to reap some sort of personal benefit outside of the purpose of said organization.

Maybe you're the right man to start pulling it together then, Steve. A man of ideas, innovation, energy and sound reasoning. Let me know when you need my contribution for the raffle vehicle and I'll send you a money order for $20.

lol ... i'm definitely not the man for this job. I ascribe to the Groucho Marx school of thought regarding clubs or memberships of any kind.

I do belong to several organizations and in a couple, the way we work it is we give the honor of carrying something through to the person who suggests it....it holds down the suggestions as well as gives the firebrands the opportunity to lead from the front...

I am reminded of the logging camp story that Utah Phillips tells.

The way they chose the cook was that the first person to complain, got the job. One guy had it for a long time and finally came up with baking a big nasty pie from fresh moose nuggets. An ol' logger sat down, cut himself a giant slice, took a big bite and said, Damnation! That tastes like moose sh-t!....but GOOD!

Bri
