I have been reluctant to install fixed solar panels to the roof of my travel trailer (risking leaks, damaging something).  I have been using a Renogy 100W suitcase solar panel successfully.  I recently purchased a pair of panels for my roof and plan to install later this summer connected to Victron charge controller mounted inside my trailer.  Are there any issues using both systems simultaneously?

It is fine as long as both systems are set alike and see the same voltage at the bank.

yes, they will be fine. the battery does not know or care where the charge source comes from.

there will be no damage even if the 2 controllers have slightly different voltage set points.

with different set points, the only thing that happens is the charger/controller that has the lower set point will think the battery is full and stop charging before the other controller. but that will only affect a slight loss of performance.

of course, like always, having the right settings will get you the most out of your panel investment

kudos on using the victron. great controller
