Fire Restrictions Web Site

For those of you who boondock, here's a Web site that lists all current fire restrictions for a number of Western states:

FireRestrictions.us

The states covered by FireRestrictions.us are Arizona, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah and Washington.

It's a good way to find out about both current and planned fire restrictions in your area.

I check it out thought it was a cool idea. but why all the outdated info? some of those restrictions are over 2 years old. I also wonder why kalifornia is not included. highdesertranger

Since all of the older fire restrictions are listed as continuing "until rescinded," I can only assume that they are still in effect since they were first declared.

As for why the PDRK isn't included, I suppose that only those states that voluntarily provide information to the Web site's host are included.

ha ha the PDRK, good one. the only problem is I have been to several of those area in the last 2 years and can tell you that the restrictions have not been in effect continuously. that is why I was surprised. highdesertranger
