I have no affiliation with this company.....but they have a very impressive van heating system:

....along with a recirculating shower setup--including filter(s) and UV sterilizer.

Thank you for sharing.

I watched that video and yes, that is a nice build, but one thing was a bit mis-leading in the interview.

The young man does mention briefly that the power to heat the water in the radiant system is from diesel, but he is so excited about the efficiency of the pumps and controls that he focuses on, and repeats the electrical aspect, mentioning it is less than 100 watts 'for heating and hot water'...

But actually there is a diesel-fired system probably similar to what is used on some boats, and then the electrical power is used to circulate the water thru the floor tubing using pumps and presumably, control valves.

It's really not new, but the technology seems to get better as demand increases. You do lose a bit of vertical space when installing one of those systems.

But for some van-dwellers or campers, the trade-off is worth it.

It would be super easy to tap into the engine coolant system and run a loop under the floor. You can pull up to your parking spot and have the back already warmed. No pumps. No Lines to freeze. No aux heaters. Just plumbing. And a solenoid to keep it from getting to hot. I would run a snap switch. Solenoids are very low amps.
