Filling the gap

TI have not had much time these last two weeks to work on the beast.   But...as I get closer to have the first 3 ceiling panels in .... I have a gap to fill.

I got a quote from a fiberglass place to build this panel (two of them..one on each side) for $600 each!   Ahhh. .. that is not going to happen at that price.

So..looking for ideas.

The area is curved fairly severely.   The gap extends under the shelf too.    On the right side the plastic panel is broken under the shelf.

Ideas for filling this gap?    There is nothing behind it except fiberglass outer shell.

you could fiberglass it yourself

not hard to do but the fumes are highly toxic so would need a good respirator

or maybe some 1/8-1/16 plywood/luan,soak in hot water and mold it
