Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable.

Who would you think wrote this ?

And I was going to guess Bobby McGee!!

We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly. Do you like this? Who do you think said it?

Sad to say, but I didn't really love Cathy when we got married. In fact, I went into it with the knowledge that if I didn't like the way things were going, I could always just walk away. I got real lucky with Cathy. She wasn't very intelligent as far as IQ went but she always seemed to find the right thing to say to me in times of difficulty. She was as loyal as a puppy, making me feel guilty whenever I would have any wandering thoughts. Anyway, by the time all the heat wore off, I was deeply in love with that woman and spent the rest of her days taking care of her. Still miss her a lot.

Which is reflected in your every post.

Wishing you a peaceful and joyous Christmas.

I can't tell you who said it without the aid of g00gle, but I like it.
My gal may not be perfect, but she's close enough for me.

On the other hand, I am perfect :D

The same person who wrote:

“There are two questions a man must ask himself: The first is 'Where am I going?' and the second is 'Who will go with me?'
If you ever get these questions in the wrong order you are in trouble.”

..........and lordy, don't I know it.

Right alt, These kind of quotes make me think, and that's good.

I am a self, a feeling, thinking acting being enclosed in a mystery I can neither fully comprehend nor control.

“The answer is never the answer. What's really interesting is the mystery. If you seek the mystery instead of the answer, you'll always be seeking. I've never seen anybody really find the answer. They think they have, so they stop thinking. But the job is to seek mystery, evoke mystery, plant a garden in which strange plants grow and mysteries bloom. The need for mystery is greater than the need for an answer.”
