What are you going to use the box in the floor for? , like what's going to go in it?

well, its basically a trunk...I've got a ton of stuff in there.. my lil buddy heater is in there, along with a small gas grill....tools, extra electrical parts and wire..my insulation for all the windows...fresh water hose, jack extra widow wash, and a ton of other things.. jumper cables, ratchet straps, bungee cords, etc

thanks for all the pictures. My build will be very simple compared to yours. the the self taping screws, did you pre drill the wood? i've never used them before so sorry if this is a stupid question.

the screws for the plywood on the floor? I had to make a large countersunk hole for those.... some parts of the cabinets were also countersunk, and other places I just put them in flush depending on where they were

pros:
its huge inside
uses very little power
pretty light

the only con I found was the footprint was larger then the specs when I got it.They must have changed the model. originally it was supposed to be 2" wider and 2" less in depth. you can see a space on the side of the cabinet. when I built it it was to fill the cabinet according to the specs

Hi Daminc, good to hear from you! Your van work is spectacular. The cab looks so organized with a place for everything - just great. I thought about redoing my doghouse console area, too, but I ended up making a swivel table for the passenger seat instead. We're about to stretch a cargo net across the ceiling of the cab for little lightweight things. Sassy

Thanks.... I'm still making storage spaces dedicated for specific things.... took a trip up to Maine a couple months back... my wife was able to work in the back, and be on conference calls while I was driving... things are working out good so far

I suppose I should start my build. Just ordered new hinge pins, and paint for my van. I see a little rust on the doors and a bunch underneath, so before I can put a hightop on it, I need to get rid of all the rust. a hightop van will never fit into my shop, so this will be the first step, along with cleaning it out and getting rid of a lot of shelving that I don't really use for my business anymore.

I found some power front door panels, along with all the power goodies in the doors, Panels are resprayed already as of Saturday.

Also thinking I may be able to use my 6 way power seat setup out of my 87 cougar, I happen to have a few extras kicking around from when I restored it. Driving is always more enjoyable when you can get the seat in the perfect spot.... A little cutting, a little welding.... should work OK

I'll take some before pics tomorrow, living in Buffalo NY is brutal on cars with all the salt we use... fortunately, I didn't drive it very much in the winters.

here's a starter

So thats my start...
