UPDATE:

I'm still poking away at my paint prepping - I'm deliberately trying to 'NOT' rush this work, not to mention that mother nature is doing a lot to keep me in check with that.... raining every day here!

So here are pictures of the results of my tried patients, with mother nature's help, so far.

And Yes, I do have quite a bit of primer over spray, particularly on the windows - I've been lazy from the get-go when it's come to taping off things! But oh well, nothing a little mineral spirits won't take care of.

Overall though, I think it's coming along nicely..... I'm happy with it so far.

JUNE 22, 13.......................................................................... bodywork looks pretty good....those are some big tires in those wheelwells...they ever rub?

Thank You, Sir!

The tires are 15's - 31x10.5..... they used to rub quite a bit on bad bumps, potholes, etc.. not so much at all anymore. I did a cheap coil lift.

Soon after I bought the van I thought I would do a body lift (cheap and fairly easy) unfortunately I found out that this was not possible on my van. I just like the look of having bigger tires... gives it a better overall look, MO.

I want to put even bigger tires on, and since a body or suspension lift is a no go. I've considered chopping the fenders a little.

Yep, I may get some slack from this... gas mileage, 4x4 wanna be, etc., etc, .... Haters... lol - J/K.

haha...i agree it looks better.

my van had hankook dynapros 225/75-16...basically oem...they looked small in the wheelwell..

and were awful despite being in good shape...i hydroplaned on them one day and rewrote the humanure handbook in 2 seconds.

ive since installed kumho roadventure sat in 245/75-16 10 ply e rated tires.

http://www.kumhousa.com/tire/category/truck-suv/C205BDE8-F7FF-4E90-82F1-4B22403CF2EB

an enormous difference in handling...just slightly taller...speedo seem accurate although i wonder if i could change the tire diameter parameter in the vans computer...or if its even possible?

anyway i paid $656 for 4 of them shipped and im quite happy so far. about 1000 miles into it.

quiet on road. water is like its not even there. it chucks rocks easily if they get stuck in tread. ill be mostly on dirt/gravel roads this coming spring so thats why i went with this tire type.

and they look great...reminds me of nittos.
